All About A Girl
I will always remember the piano behind the window, my eyes falling on the small, ivory keys – white against the wood. I could have just passed it by, and I did; only to look back and say out loud: I want this. I want it to be mine.

I have had music in my life for as long as I can remember.
They say memory is tangible as early as the age of three, and it was then that the lessons began: one hour every week, under the instruction of those who would teach me how to draw out sounds through the use of my fingertips.
For over a decade I worked to understand the piano, familiarizing myself with the instrument in the way that a dancer works to comprehend his or her body. But you cannot teach a person to love what they do, you cannot instill passion if it is not there. One can learn the notes, the steps, the piece or routine, but it is not the books or the videos, the tapes or recitals that you find the love of the doing.
It took me a long time to really understand what I loved the most about music. And now, knowing exactly that, I’m want to share it with all of you.
When people ask what it is that I do, I tell them simply: “I write about people, about feelings, about people who make me feel and what they make me feel. When I set my fingers over the piano keys or curl these around a pen, I tell the music all the things that my heart knows and if I am lucky it will give me a tune.”
Hello, my name is Noelle Pico. I tell stories; I write them into songs.
Welcome to my little space on the internet; my… “base of operations,” so to speak.
I post anything from music I enjoy, to pictures that I find pretty or interesting. I post quotes, things I enjoy and occasionally, snatches of my day. If you’re interested, you can go through my archive and you’ll see that more or less, with me, anything goes.
I originally created this page because I wanted to share my music with people. I used to do a few gigs in some places in my city, but work and life have kind of made it difficult to do that. So every now and then, I close the doors of my room at home and I sit down with my trusty sidekick, Rufio, the keyboard I take with me to performances, and I put together recordings — covers of songs that resonate with me; demos of the music I love to make. And then, when I’m done, I post those up here.
You see, if there is any place in the world where I feel the most alive, it’s when my fingers are dancing over the keys; it’s when I give myself over to song.
Now, I’m not sure how you wandered over. But I do sincerely hope that you enjoy your stay. :)
